Books of Hours and Changes makes up the audiobook component of the BASCA British Composer Award-nominated multimedia work Our Lady of Stars/Books of Hours and Changes, that additionally comprises of an album, and a book of poetry and scores. In this avant-garde postmodern piece, a young woman corresponds with a silent counterpart via poetry and letter-writing. Structured using contemporary music techniques, this work draws symbolic parallels between love and religious veneration, and questions the interplay between fate and free will.
